Dubai Panoramics

In the years 2006-7-8 I spent time in the UAE exhibiting my work at The Al Ain air show and the Dubai air show and attending and documenting other air events like the Red Bull Air Races and the Al Bateen Air Show.

With Carole, I stayed in a variety of amazing Hotels in Al Ain, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. On one occasion, staying on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, I decided, like 'Mad Dogs and Englishmen' to go out in the 'Midday Sun" and walk the length of the road as it was then and document the wonderful architecture with my camera.

The results of this marathon can also be seen in Mirror City Skyline, which was originally conceived as a Mural and featuring the Red Arrows who displayed at that years Dubai Air Show. The images also form the basis of Sky City Fusion and The Flight of the Red Arrow along Sheikh Zayed Road from my Red Arrows collection which for some years became a large wall Mural in the offices of ADS in London.
